The North East Zone of Bagalur police station have arrested a man for conning and extorting women the cops say that that this real life playboy has duped around 100 women in Bengaluru and some parts of Karnataka of their money landed in police net a few days ago. The man is accused of befriending women on matrimonial sites and extorting money after promising to marry them.
The man who has extorted and conned many women is Sadat khan, many could have seen his face in matromonial websites because it was his favourite hunting ground. It is said that he used about 17 names and conned around 100 women.Sadath worked as a telecaller in a popular resort in Bengaluru.
Investigating officer told that the actual name of the accused is Sadath khan.We have found out that he has at least 15-20 aliases like Rahul, Rajkumar,Ranveer Singh, Trilok and it seems like he used names of many film heroes,he is around 28 years of age. Sadat khan enrolled himself in the paid category in matrimonial websites where profiles of rich candidates are found.He used to put up on his account photoshopped images of his to attract victims.He used to pose as a CEO of a company or a government servant.He had several phone numbers and would dedicate to victim a number on which alone he would speak to her. Sadat khan would use half his looted money as investment on the next victim.In one of the cases, he purchased a house for a victim and even bought her home appliances and furnitures worth 5 to 10 lakh rupees. He would then extort from the victim double his investment on her. When we went digging into the case we got shocker that Sadath Khan had gone into a physical relationship with the victims. This has made the victims dependent on Sadath this was also the reason why most of the victims do not come forward to register complaint if they file they can file a cheating complaint and even most of the victims feared their reputation this has worked Sadaths advantage and he has even conned a reputed company CEO for the tune of Rs.2.5 crores he even took his victims to different places and five star hotels to have a physical relationship with them and he even used to introduce himself as CEO of company and cheat the women and one complaint has even filed a case of rape also against him for cheating her giving false promise of marriage this time his plan has landed him to police net he added .
Victim says : He introduced himself to me as Rahul Rajashekar through a matrimonial website.I am a divorcee.He said that he too was a divorcee.Initially,he spoke normally,but later he said that he was a government employee.He produced fake IDs and certificates and promised me a job in his office.I personally know around 20 women who have been cheated by him.But the number may go even higher.I request All those who use matrimonial websites to do a background check before getting into a relationship with strangers she added .
Divakar whistleblower said he told me that he was working in the Indian Railways and got introduced to me.He promised me to get a job.I met him and got close to him that was when he said that he does all these fraudsters activities.After gathering more information I gave a tip off to the Bagalur police and helped them arrest him he added.

DCP North East Dr.P.S.Harsha said Based on a complaint registered by a victim in Bagalur police station, Bagalur police inspector Anjan kumar and his crime staff acted swiftly and has arrested a 28 year old youth.The complainant stated in her complaint that one person befriended with her through a matrimonial website in the name of Preetam Kumar, and he even took several lakh rupees from her after promising to marry her but he has duped her and is not contactable based on a complaint a special team was formed to nab the culprit and the team were successful in nabbing the suspect from an three star hotel while questioning he admitted that he has cheated the women but during his statement our team grew suspicious on his statement they intensified the interrogation and were stumbled upon the loverboy contents of his statement he revealed that he has conned around 100 women and his real name is Sadath Khan a alcoholic, came to Bengaluru in 2011, after working in several places, he opened accounts in Facebook and matrimonial sites in different names, had a platinum platform where all rich people searching for their partners.Sadath Khan targeted spinsters, widows and divorcees.Initially he chat with them and asked to meet in high end hotels with rented luxury cars, he buy expensive gift items for them, used to stay in star hotels, get intimate with them.Sadath Khan in subsequent meetings, claiming emergencies borrow large amount of money from women then vanish he even cheated many high profile women including CEO of a company, professor, doctor government employees and some college girls too. After interacting with a woman for a few days, he would express his desire to marry her.He would take them out and make them spend money on him. He has also borrowed large sum of money under different pretexts from various women.When the Bagalur police started collecting information about him, they found that several cases had registered against him in K.R. Puram, Jayanagar and Vidyaranyapura police stations in Bengaluru and in other districts too.He keeps changing names to cheat women. He did his schooling in Hassan and pursued his ITI course in Siddeshwara College, Hassan in 2007. He is an alcoholic and was thrown out of the house by his father.He came to Bengaluru in 2011 and started working in a welding shop in Yeswanthpur. Later, he worked as a telecaller in various companies in the city. He was dismissed these companies for misbehaving with women,He started cheating women as he did not have money. Very few women have registered cases against him he added .
Additional Commissioner of police (east) appealed to the victims to file cases against Sadath Khan, further adding he said I request the victim to come forward and give us information about the accused if they have. Fraudsters cannot be brought to book if complaints are not regisitered. This help us providing justice to victims and such case will have a logical end. This will also serve as a lesson to all those fraudsters who plan to cheat innocent people a case has been registered in Bagalur police station against the accused u/s, 341,354,376,392,384,420,506 IPC and is under investigation and finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner, Praveen Sood, has appreciated Addl CP East, Hemant Nimbalkar, DCP North-east, Dr.P.S.Harsha,ACP Sampigehalli sub division,Boppaiah,PI,Anjan kumar,with his crime staff has been appreciated for the commendable job done by them he added.
