Four Notorious kidnappers including Women arrested by Yelahanka police Property Worth Rs.1.3 Crore recovered .
“The culprits were nabbed after obtaining CCTV footage of the abduction, from which they located the number plate of the car used, and also from tracking cell phone records”.
Four persons including a women has been arrested by Yelahanka police on charges of kidnapping and recovered cash and gold ornaments worth of Rs.1.3 Crores from their possession.
The four accused has kidnapped a business man by name Mallikarjunaiah and demanded ransom of Rs.100 crore and later his son Dr.Ravikumar arranged Rs.60 lakhs and got released his father .
The arrested are Arshiya Ali (37), state president of JD(S) women wing, her neighbour Renuka Prasad (41), both residents of Bagalur, Kantharaj Gowda (30) of HBR Layout, and Pradeep alias Prateesh (32) of Horamavu.
A Senior officer,told media persons that as on 12th January a complainant by name Dr.Ravikumar has registered a complaint in Yelahanka police station stating that his father was kidnapped on 11th January in the early morning by some four persons while he went on his morning walk near kogilu cross, they approached his father on pretext of some business deal and abducted him in a car at gunpoint.Later on he received a call by the kidnappers and he stated that the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs.100 crore to release his father and they even warned him not to inform police and somehow he managed to negotiate with the kidnappers and convinced them to pay Rs.60 lakhs and the same he paid them and got rescued his father from the kidnappers. As soon as the case was reported Yelahanka Inspector informs his seniors as,DCP Girish S, and other senior officials and based on the complaint DCP Girish S, informs his seniors and the senior police officer asks DCP Girish S, to form a special team to nab the kidnappers,And a special team was formed under the supervision of ACP’s as, Prabhakar B Barkhi,Mohammed Humayuin Nagthe and Murali H S,with 5 inspectors and staff swung into action our team immediately obtained the CCTV footage and zeroed in on the car used by Gowda. Then they tracked the phone call records and nabbed Gowda and Arshiya before securing the two other accused,and during search our team has recovered unaccounted cash of Rs.45 lakhs rupees from a lady house.After detaining our team grilled all the four accused and during interrogation they spilled the beans that “On January 11, Mallikarjuna had come to a nearby park at Kogilu Cross for his morning walk and Gowda along with his car driver Pradeep approached him, threatening him with a pistol,”Then they took Mallikarjuna to Kolar, where he was locked up in a room, and calls were made to his family asking for Rs 100 crore ransom in return for his release.Mallikarjuna’s son Dr Ravikumar negotiated with the gang and brought the ransom amount down to Rs 60 lakh. Ravikumar delivered the money the same day and the gang let Mallikarjuna go with his son. Ravikumar’s gold ornaments were also taken by the gang when he went to deliver the ransom.Detailed investigation revealed that The four devised a plan to kidnap Mallikarjuna as he was wealthy; they even managed to get Rs 60 lakh on the day of the kidnapping January 11th. Arshiya was the one who hatched the kidnap plot,Kantharaj, the prime accused, had known Mallikarjuna through business dealings and had borrowed some money from him.Arshiya and Renuka Prasad also had financial connections with Mallikarjuna.Pradeep used to work as Gowda’s driver.Renuka Prasad and Gowda have both been arrested previously for other crimes.Renuka Prasad has been involved in multiple cheating cases and a property dispute incident, while Gowda was earlier arrested by Ashok Nagar police for carrying Rs`1 crore in demonetised money and was later released on bail.Police have seized Rs.60 lakh cash,with two high-end cars, gold jewellery, six live cartridges and a pistol from the gang, besides Rs.45 lakh illegal money from Arshiya has been seized,and finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,T Suneel Kumar, has appreciated,Addl CP East,Seemanth Kumar Singh,DCP Northeast,Girish S and his whole team as ACP’S as,Prabhakar B Barkhi,Mohammed Humayuin Nagthe and Murali H S,and with PI’s as,Manjegowda A G,Manjunath,Anjan kumar,Manjunath N,and Psi’s as, Muralidhar D,Smt.Erramma,and all the crime staff as,Uday Kumar,Ramesh R,Ramesh D J,Kumar M,Kemparajaiah,Basavaraj Lamani,Devarajaiah,Ramesh Nayak,Babu,Girish Y J,Hussain,Bhaskar B N,Karibasava Y,Ravichandra,Suresh,Mahaveer,
