BJP Corporator Rekha Kadireshan Husband,S.Kadreshian hacked to death in Broad daylight incident occurred near Muneshwara temple in flower garden under cottonpet police station limits.
Four armed men murdered the husband of a BBMP councillor near Muneshwara temple in Cottonpet on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as S Kadiresh (47), a resident of C Lane, Anjanappa Garden, Mysore Road and a rowdy sheeter with Cottonpet police station. His wife Rekha Kadiresh is corporator of Chalavadi Palya (BBMP ward 138).
Police piled up additional forces in the area to put down the protests by the supporters of the dead.
As soon as the murder took place cottonpet police with other senior officials as Addl CP West,B K Singh,DCPs as M N Anucheth, Sharanappa with ACPs as  Niranjanraje Urs,Mahanth Reddy with other inspectors rushed to spot, to maintain law and order in the area and they inspected  the whole area at the scene of crime for some vital clues they collected the stock of the situation from the eyewitnesses who were present at the scene of crime.
After inspecting the spot and collecting stock of the situation speaking to media persons, DCP M N Anucheth told reporters.Today at around 3:45pm S.Kadiresh,aged about 47 years was assaulted with deadly weapons by 4 persons.He is the husband of Rekha Kadiresh who is a Corporator of BBMP ward number 138.At that time he was along with few others near the Muneshwara Temple compound, Garden Area, under cottonpet police station limits, getting ready for Shivaratri on February. 13th when 4 persons came from behind and assaulted him grievously. He was shifted to Victoria hospital where he declared arrival died. Based on the complaint of his brother Suresh we have registered a case of murder against 4 persons in Cottonpete Police Station,As per the complainant and eye witnesses,we have identified two of the attackers.“Kadiresh had a tiff with one of the attackers, Naveen and Vinay as he  has advised them many times not to smoke Ganja in temple premises so to take revenge they may have hacked him to death .”We have formed four special teams to nab the assailants and they will be nabbed soon he added.
Senior officials maintained that it was a clash between two groups that had criminal antecedents and the attackers will be nabbed soon.
Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy,Zameer Ahmed,along with Bengaluru city police commissioner T Suneel Kumar visited the Victoria hospital to condolence the death of BJP corporator husbands death and to give strengthen to the family after collecting stock of the situation speaking to reporters he said the incident was reported late this afternoon when the victim Kadiresh went to inspect a small temple that he built with his supporters coming under Anjenayappa Garden area and the four attackers came in a vehicle and attacked him, killing on the spot,there was no cause for concern and the culprits behind the murder, who were identified, will be nabbed soon he added.
Former deputy chief minister R. Ashoka said that the murder was another in a long series of murders of BJP workers. “There is a clear breakdown of law and order in the State. The home department has failed to prevent political murders and this latest murder only proves this point,” he said.
Jagadish Shettar told reporters,yet another murder has taken place it is the murder of Ex-BJP corporator Rekha Khadiresh husband it has to be determined as to why and who murdered him. I have only one request for the Home Minister and police department please do nab the culprits at the earliest he added.
