Notorious History sheeter and associate arrested by Thalaghattapura police after shootout.
The South Zone Police of Thalaghattapura police station inspector and his special team on Sunday opened fire at history-sheeter and his associate to arrest them.
The injured absconded accused are identified as Paramesh alias Parmi (31), a resident of Kembathahalli, and his associate Santhosh alias Dombi (28), of Thalaghattapura.
This is the third such incident where the Bengaluru city police opened fire at anti-social elements in just a week’s time.On March 26,Bellandur police had opened fire at two kidnappers after they had abducted a 28-year-old teacher on Kasavanahalli Main Road and molested her before absconding.On March 28,Cottonpet police had opened fire at history-sheeter Nirmal alias Roopesh (36), who was absconding for three years and was planning to murder his rival.
Senior officer, told media persons that,The Thalaghattapura police inspector,C B Shivaswamy formed a special team to trace the accused.On Sunday morning,they got credible information that the accused was travelling in a car.The police team rushed to the spot and accosted Paramesh and Santosh at Banashankari 6th Stage.As soon as the police intercepted their car, Santosh got down from the vehicle holding a long machete in his hand.When head constable Suresh and constable Neminath tried to arrest him,and to evade arrest Santosh attacked them.To defend themselves,Inspector Shivaswamy fired one round in the air and asked the accused to surrender.But Paramesh shot two rounds at the inspector,who was fortunately not hit.Shivaswamy immediately shot Paramesh in the leg and detained him.Meanwhile,Santosh tried to attack the others and Sub-Inspector Srinivas shot him in the leg.All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.Paramesh was involved in the murder of Ashwath Shetty, a realtor, who was hacked to death in 2010. He was sent to judicial custody and after a few years, he was out on bail.He was involved in nine cases of crime in the city, while Santosh was involved in two cases.Preliminary investigations revealed that Paramesh might have purchased the pistol from an illegal weapon dealer.The two had been living in Andhra Pradesh and Mysuru before coming to Bengaluru.Their vehicle had been on the police radar for some time and they were planning to carry out a robbery when they were chased by the police and further investigation of the case will be probed by PI Kumarswamy layout and finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,T Suneel Kumar,Addl CP West,B K Singh,has appreciated,DCP South Zone,Dr.S.D.Sharanappa,PI, Shivaswamy C B,PSIs as,Shivakumar P,Srinivas K R,with crime staff as Suresh S C,Gajendra B,Neminath and Sridhar who has shown their brave act and nabbed the notorious history sheeter and his associate after shootout and we warn all the anti social elements beware you can’t fool the police he added.
