Notorious History-Sheeter, Cycle Ravi shot at in Bengaluru, arrested by CCB Police:
Bengaluru Central Crime Branch police has shot at and nabbed notorious dreaded criminal a history sheeter Cycle Ravi at NICE road on Wednesday afternoon.
The accused has been identified as,M Ravikumar alias Cycle Ravi (42), a notorious history-sheeter wanted in more than 30 cases.
Cycle Ravi has been an active rowdy from over 20 years. Rowdysheet was opened against him in Banashankari police station in 1998 and since then he is involved in more than two dozens of cases. He was involved in supari killings, kidnapping and extortions.
Joint CP Crime,N Satheesh Kumar told reporters,as on Wednesday our CCB sleuths got a tip-off that Ravi was moving in an SUV at Uttarahalli Main Road on Wednesdayafternoon.Around 2.45 pm, a CCB police team who were on lookout for this notorious history sheeter forcefully stopped his vehicle when they tried to pull him out he opened fire at the police team.The police however chased him and managed to corner him on nice road and when our team tried to pull him out from the car he again opened fire and shot at the police but missed the target and when our constable Sathish tried to nab him that time again he attacked our constable and injured him and in retaliation In self-defence inspectors as Prakash and Mallikarjun shot at Ravi’s abdomen and right leg after getting bullet injuries he collapsed and immediately our team arrested him and he and our constable was immediately rushed to a private hospital on Mysuru Road.and are undergoing treatmemt and their condition is said to be out of danger.Ravi Kumar alias Cycle Ravi had been involved in over 24 criminal cases, including six murders and four attempts to murder and he was wanted in other heinous crimes.In August, 2017, Ravi and his associates as Kumar and Bakery Raghu had murdered a financier after he refused to give them money.The police managed to arrest Kumar and Raghu, but Ravi escaped. Kumar who came out of the jail in February, 2017,was murdered by his rivals near the Yelachenahalli metro station.This dreaded criminal Ravi was the associate of Parandhama,another notorious rowdy sheeter.In April 2009, the police had killed Parandhama in an encounter for killing Chandrashekar Babu, a BJP leader, at Lalbagh when he had come for the morning walk along with his aged mother.After the death of Parandhama,Ravi had formed his own gang and was absconding after murdering a financier but our team has finally nabbed him successfully and we have recovered a country-made pistol and a Toyota Fortuner SUV that Ravi was using. Efforts are also on to ascertain the source of the firearm and for the brave work finally Bengaluru police commissioner,T Suneel Kumar,has appreciated Joint CP Crime,N Satheesh Kumar,DCP Crime,Dr.Ramniwas Sepat and his team as PIs as, Prakash and Mallikarjun and constable Sathish has been appreciated for the tremendous work in nabbing the notorious dreaded history sheeter by playing on his life he added.
