Four Notorious Drug peddlers arrested by Srirampuram Police,4kg Ganja worth Rs. 1.6 lakhs seized .
The Srirampura police have arrested four people for possession of four kg of marijuana worth Rs.1.6 lakh.
The accused J.Narayanana,35,resident of Ramamurthy Nagar,Pratap Kumar Sahu,25,resident of Odisha,Noor Ahmed,32,resident of Srigandhadha kavalu,and Venkatesh,38,resident of Okalipuram has been arrested.
The accused were arrested acting on tip off that four persons are selling drugs at Britannia road junction near PF junction.
Senior officer,told media persons that a credible information was passed by reliable inputs to Srirampuram police inspector Goutham that four persons in autorickshaw are selling drugs near PF junction in Britannia road junction side as soon as the information was passed Srirampuram police inspector and his team swung into action and rushed immediately to the spot and zeroed in all the four accused and during intercepting the auto rickshaw the inspector and his team found 4kg of Ganja as Marijuana in their possession and they were immediately arrested and during questioning they confessed to the crime and detailed investigation by the team revealed that they were waiting for their clients in an autorickshaw and Pratap Kumar Sahu had smuggled the marijuana from Odisha and was selling it in the city for a profit.A case has been registered in Srirampuram Police station under NDPS Act against all the four accused and further investigation is on and finally Bengaluru Police commissioner,T.Suneel Kumar,has appreciated,Addl CP West,B.K.Singh,DCP North,Chethan Singh Rathore,ACP Malleswaram Sub-division,Dhananjaya V,PI,Goutham.G,PSI,Ganganna,and their crime staff as,Babu Rao,Shivakumar,Nataraju,Mohan Kumar Nayak,Srinivas,Ramachandra and Mallikarjuna.K, has done a tremendous job and nabbed notorious drug peddlers red handed while selling it to their clients and the drive on drugs menace will be continued and those who are peddling or selling drugs to students near schools and colleges and to others will be booked under Goonda Act he added.
