Notorious Dreaded Criminal nabbed by Banasawadi Police after Shootout :
The Banaswadi police inspector Munikrishna and PSI Sharath Kumar opened fire on dreaded criminal who was wanted in a stabbing case from past 3 months.
The accused has been identified as,Syed Suhail,28 year old and is named in over 15 criminal cases.
He was stopped by Sub-Inspector Sharath Kumar and Head Constable rafique on Monday morning, he was on his Dio scooter.
Suhail attacked them with a lethal weapon and tried to escape.Sharath,who was injured in the attack,fired a warning shot in the air, and later PI, Munnikrishna opened two rounds of fire and shot at his both legs.
DCP East,Ajay Hilori,told media persons that in the wee hours of Sunday when the inspector Munikrishna and PSI Sharath of Banasawadi Police station where on special night rounds and were checking the vehicles they noticed a dio bike in which three persons came riding they flagged down the bike rider but the bike rider seeing cops has taken a u turn and tried to escape but our cops gave a dramatic chase and his two associates managed to escape the rider immediately took the machete and attacked the head constable Rafique to evade arrest and at the same time PI banasawadi too rushed to spot and the PSI Sharath first opened fire in air to warn the culprit but he dint stop he again started attacking our cop in a self defence the Inspector Munnikrishna opened two rounds of fire and injured the notorious dreaded criminal on his both legs.He alerted the control room following which additional police personnel rushed to the spot.They shifted Suhail to Bowring Hospital.The accused Syed suhail @ Pappai,22 years old is a accused in Banaswadi Police Station in the crime no.252/18 u/s 397 IPC.which happened on 16th May early morning 5:30am.Victim is Chandrashekar 63 years old from banasawadi who was brutally stabbed and his intestines came out.Accused had robbed his 60 gm gold chain and escaped from the spot.A detailed investigation by the team has revealed that he is a part of a gang that targets senior citizens in dio scooter with three riders and he is named in over 15 criminal cases like chain snatching,extortion and others and an attempt to murder case has been registered in Banaswadi police Station against the dreaded criminal and manhunt is on to nab the other gang members and finally Bengaluru Police commissioner,T.Suneel Kumar,Addl CP East,Seemanth Kumar Singh,has appreciated,DCP East,Ajay Hillori,ACP Banasawadi Sub-division,Mahadevappa,
PI,Munnikrishna,PSI,Sharath Kumar and constable Rafique and other staff who has done a commendable job by playing on their life and nabbed the dreaded criminal he added.
