UNPRODUCTIVE, UNCALLED FOR AS ALSO UNWARRANTED REGULATIONS TO BE BURIED: DR. PRABHU AT PHD CHAMBER 113TH ANNUAL SESSION
Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Dr. Suresh Prabhu on Friday assured India Inc. and all unproductive, uncalled for as also unwarranted regulations that persist in the statute would be given handsome burial as the Committee under the Chairmanship of Secretary, DIPP has been advancing an exercise to this effect to enable industry progress and prosper under virtually no regulatory regime.
Inaugurating 113th Annual Session of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry here today, Dr. Prabhu emphasized that regulations have not only distracted industry but also restricted its growth and therefore, to completely destrangulate industry from the shackles of regulators, a fresh exercise to deregulate industry has begun and advanced already.
The Minister advised industry to submit its comprehensive suggestions to the department of commerce as to where regulations still persist and continue to strangulate industry so that such unwarranted, unproductive and uncalled for regulatory hindrances are removed for good.
In addition, the Minister informed that the Department of Commerce and Industry has intensified the work of ease of doing business in six district of the country in order to make sure that business proceeds and business transactions fructified and run without any hindrances.
The government has choosen six districts in five states for that purpose covering north, south, west, east part of the country so that ease of doing business is improved at grass root level.
