Trio Notorious Held,Fake Nagamani,with 2 Sand Boas Racket busted by Mahalakshmi Layout Police :
The North Division police of Mahalakshmi Layout police have arrested trio and busted the Fake Nagamani and Sand boas racket and recovered fake Nagamani with 2 Sand Boas from their possession.
The accused has been identified as Pyarubai,57,resident of Hiriyur town in Chitradurga district,Shivanna and Krishnappa both resident of Tumakuru.
The accused were trying to sell the fake Nagamani and sand boas to their clients at the price of Rs.2 Crore rupees.
Acting on tip off cops nabbed all the three accused who used to fool people.
Pyarubayi, a scrap dealer, was selling people the fake Nagamani for Rs.2 crore, trying to convince them that it was a real one.
DCP,North,Shashi Kumar,told media persons that as on Sunday night our Mahalakshmi Layout police inspector,Prashanth,received a tip off from his informant that some person are sitting in a car near Isckon temples’s Indira Canteen and are trying to cheat people by selling fake stone claiming to be real Nagamani as soon as the information was passed to the inspector informed senior officials about the credible information senior officer instructed ACP,Dhananjaya to send a special team to the spot immediately and same was followed by Prashanth Mahalakshmi Layout Inspector and his team rushed to spot and detained Pyarubai and during questioning the accused has confessed the crime and said that he is a scrap dealer and he tried to sell the Nagamani fake stones to his clients claiming it is real Nagamani stone and he was convincing them to buy it for 1 to 2 crores meanwhile on the same day at 10 o clock the team got another credible information that two persons near APMC Vegetable market are trying to sell two face snakes the team immediately rushed to the spot and nabbed the duo and brought them to station for further questioning and during questioning the accused confessed the crime and
The accused are identified as Shivanna and Krishnappa,with this the team has arrested trio in two separate cases and seized a fake Nagamani as Snake-Stone,and Two sand boa snakes and other fake antique items from them. The accused were duping people saying that if they kept these items at home, they would get rich and all their problems would go away within a few days.We are yet to investigate where he got the items from, and even consulted the archaeological department to identify the copper plate and mug to ascertain which era it belonged to.The accused in his statement said that it was gifted to him by a swamiji and we have handed over the two face snakes as the sand boas to the Bannerghatta Rehabilitation Centre and a case has been registered in Mahalakshmi Layout police station and further investigation is on finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,T.Suneel Kumar,Addl CP, West,BK Singh has appreciated,DCP North,Shashi Kumar,ACP,Malleshwaram Sub-Division,Dhananjaya,PI,
