LS polls: Rs 45 lakh unaccounted cash seized in Mahalakshmi Layout Bengaluru:

The Mahalakshmi Layout police have arrested SS Jewellery shop assistant on charges of carrying Unaccounted cash of Rs.45 Lakhs in his vehicle without any related documents.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha election Mahalakshmi Layout Police on Tuesday seized Rs 45 lakh unaccounted cash from a vehicle near GD Naidu Hall in Mahalakshmi Layout area.
The arrested has been identified as Rahul Surana,S/o,Suresh Surana aged about  30 years and a resident of JC road who works as a assistant in SS Jewellery in Nagarathpet area.
The Mahalakshmi Layout police Inspector Prashanth and flying squad officers Hanumantha Bagali and his assistant has secured the person carrying Rs.45 Lakhs in his Dio bike.
DCP North,Shashikumar, told media persons,that our inspector Prashanth of Mahalakshmi Layout police station was tipped off that a person in a Honda Dio bike is carrying huge Amount of cash in his bike he has kept the cash in his black colour backpack as bag the inspector immediately asked the static surveillance team to come near GD Naidu road to conduct a vehicle checking as the flying squad officer Hanumantha Bagali and his assistant with inspector where on vehicle checking point they flagged a Honda Dio bike and while intercepting the vehicle the flying squad found huge cash in his possession the cash was kept in his black colour backpack the team immediately detained him and seized the cash and took him to Mahalakshmi Layout police station and the team questioned the person to produce documents related to cash he said in his statement that he is a employee working with a jewellery merchant Sachin who owns a jewellery shop in Nagarathpet area.Rahul the arrested persons said Sachin the jewellery merchant Sachin has asked him to collect Rs.45 lakhs from his friend Sunil when the cops quizzed Sachin by calling him to station he accepted that he had sent his assistant to collect the money from Sunil has also confirmed the cops the same and we have asked the accused to produce documents related to cash.The flying squad officer Hanumantha Bagali has registered a case against the accused for carrying unaccounted cash and based on their complaint we have arrested the accused and further investigation is on he added.
