Dreaded Mastermind Habitual HBT offender arrested by Suddaguntepalya police,8 Cases Detected,Recovered Valuables worth Rs.40 lakhs

The Southeast Division police of Suddaguntepalya police have arrested a notorious dreaded Mastermind Burglar who has a talent of making duplicate keys and robbing the valuables and have detected 8 cases and recovered stolen property worth Rs.40 lakhs.

The accused has been identified as Prakash also known as Jyothi Prakash,Balaji,Balu,Khan,and Raju,32,year old resident of Bhuvaneshwari nagar in Uttarahalli.

There are more than 8 cases registered against him across city.

The accused is a Habitual offender who was arrested before by the southeast division police and was sent to jail.With the help of murder accused in jail he learnt about making Duplicate keys.

Prakash used to make duplicate keys using a machine made in Korea. When officials arrested Prakash, they were shocked to find a bunch with 2,000 different keys.

Modus Operandi :

The accused used to visit the apartments and houses in the guise or pretext of tenant and he used to collect the keys from the owners somehow and then he used to make the duplicate key of the same house before returning them and he used to monitor and keep a close watch on the house and wait for correct time once anyone occupies the vacant house and then he will be visiting the areas and once he found no one is there in the house he would sneak inside the house with the duplicate keys and used to rob valuables.The accused even used to use another technique to get duplicate keys if the locks are swanky as very sophisticated he used to somehow take pics of it and used to send a mail to Manufacturing companies with the photo of locks and used to introduce himself as owner of the house and used to send a mail that we have lost the keys and used to apply for duplicate keys by sending mail he used to get the keys in couple of days and then he used to keep a close watch on the houses and apartments from which he has collected the keys and shocking part is he himself used to create the duplicate keys at his home with the help of Korea key making machine.

Additional Commissioner of Police, East,Seemanth Kumar Singh,told media persons that,The Suddaguntepalya police have arrested a notorious habitual offender accused has been identified as Prakash who is known by various names.This same accused was arrested last year by the southeast Division police and this time too they have arrested on charges of house break theft with his arrest we have solved closed to eight theft cases registered against him across city and it is big catch for us after committing thefts he used to change his mobile numbers and used to keep the phone somewhere and used to divert calls to divert our attention but this time the team has finally nabbed and with his arrest we have recovered stolen valuables worth of Rs.40 lakhs he added.

DCP Southeast,Smt.Isha Pant told media persons that last year in the month of December a theft case was reported in Suddaguntepalya police station limits in which a miscreant has robbed 1.8kg gold ornaments from Chandrodhaya Kalyana Mantapa in Bhavani layout.A special team was formed by ACP,Mico layout,Sub-Division under the supervision of,PI,Suddaguntepalya,Mohammad.M.A,and his team swung into action as on 23rd March our crime team who were on lookout for the accused has got a credible information from their reliable sources that the accused Prakash has come to their place to dispose jewellery as soon as the information was passed the inspector and his crime staff rushed to spot and nabbed the accused Prakash and then he was taken to station for further questioning during interrogation he confessed the crime and the team produced him before the court and took him to police custody for further investigation and during the course of interrogation the team grilled him and then he spilled the beans the accused has been identified as Prakash alias Jyothi Prakash with various names he said in his statement that in a unique way he used to sneak the houses and rob he used to rob houses by creating duplicate keys by making himself for this he has got duplicate key making machine from Korea.He is very clever enough which made our team only surprised first the team were not happy with his comments then they asked him to demonstrate the Modus Operandi he used to do he gave a demonstration to the team by creating a duplicate key in front of them he said he used to visit the vacant house and apartments in the pretext of tenant and somehow he used to collect the keys and after creating a duplicate keys he used to return back to them and after creating key he used to keep close watch on the houses which he has targeted after making keys he used to write the address of the houses on the key and if the owners have fixed high security locks as Smart locks for this he used to collect the pic of lock and used to forward it to manufacturing company to avail duplicate keys he said in his statement and after disposing the booty he used to spend a lavish lifestyle and now he will cool his heels behind bars and we suspect he is involved in atleast more than 100 cases as during search on his house our team found Prakash had automatic key-cutting machine.Cops have recovered 1,400 shaft keys and about 600 duplicate keys of houses he had identified for burgling.The shaft keys were to be cut with the machine to make duplicate ones. Police also recovered 1kg 216 gram of gold ornaments and 1kg 800 grams silver ornaments valuables worth Rs 40 lakh from him.A case has been registered in Suddaguntepalya police station and further investigation is on and finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,T.Suneel Kumar,has appreciated,Addl CP,East,Seemanth Kumar Singh,DCP,Southeast,Smt.Isha Pant,ACP,Mico layout Sub-Division,Karibasavanagowda,PI,Mohammad.M.A,and his crime staff who has done a tremendous job in nabbing the notorious infamous burglar a mastermind in Burgling houses creating duplicate keys of it and who has given a sleepless nights to many residents he added.
