Delhi Veterinary Association (DVA) organized the National Symposium on Rabies and Animal Bite Management and ECG & its interpretation in Dogs

New Delhi : Delhi Veterinary Association (DVA) strives to disseminate scientific knowledge and skills for the larger benefit of the society and continuing with its efforts on Delhi Veterinary Association with support of Drools has organized the National Symposium at Jawahar lal Nehru Convention Centre (JNU), New Delhi. The topics are ‘Rabies and Animal Bite Management’ and ‘ECG & its interpretation in Dogs’. The event is graced by Chief Guest Major General (Dr.) R.M. Kharb, AVSM (Retd.). This event is a curtain raiser to the celebration of World Veterinary Day on 28th April this year.

The talk on Rabies and Animal Bite Management is delivered by Dr. Mala Chhabra, Consultant Microbiologiest, Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi and ECG & its interpretation in Dogs by Prof. (Dr.) S. Yathraj, formar Dean, VCH Chief Executive Lakeside Veterinary Hospital and Research Centre, Bengaluru. The National Symposium is attended by over 150 veterinarians from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh representing different Departments and agencies viz GNCTD, DAHD, Government of India, MCD, ICAR, RVC, SSB, Animal House of various Universities and Hospitals, Research Institutes as well as Private Practitioners and Consultants.

The Directory of DVA Life Members was also unveiled on the occasion Dr. Satish Dabas, President DVA. Dr. Vijay Kumar, Vice President, DVA and Dr. Yashpal Singh, General Secretary, DVA on this occasion mentioned that this is only one of many such events envisaged and that the Association will tirelessly work in continuing the enrichment of the veterinary professionals to enable fulfilling the Veterinarian’s oath in true sprit.
