Notorious Habitual offender arrested after Shootout by Upparpet police

* Incident took place near Krantiveera Sangoli Rayana railway station old building near railway tracks.

* Duo rescued safely by West Division cops.

An Habitual offender wanted in abduction case and in many other cases has been arrested after shootout in a joint operation by cottonpet and  Upparpet police.

The Upparpet police sub-inspector Rajendra under the leadership of cottonpet police inspector Kumarswamy.BG nabbed the accused after shot at his leg.

The accused has been identified as Mansoor Khan,23, a native of Biswanath in Assam and Abdul Majeed,25,a native of Manipal.

The accused was wanted in more than 7 cases.

The accused and victim became friends in jail as the victim was arrested on charges of human trafficking that time the accused and victim befriended each other they learnt about the victim he has got lot of money.

The accused kidnapped Rakesh Sharma  and Gopal Singh the duo by inviting  them to dinner.They abducted them and took them to some isolated place in Jalahalli area and they called Rakesh Sharma’s brother who is in Nepal and demanded ransom money from his brother.

The victim Rakesh Sharma was beaten black and blue by the gang.One of the victim managed to escape from their clutches.They immediately rushed to cottonpet police station and gave all the details to the cops and cops immediately rushed him to KC General hospital for further treatment.

Three Special team was led by DCP,Ravi.D.Channanavar, under the leadership of ACP,Chickpet,Mahanth Reddy.

DCP,West,Ravi.D.Channanavar,told media persons that,on 24th April a missing complaint was registered with Cottonpet police station,Rakesh Sharma and Gopal Singh went missing.A case was registered under IPC 364A.A special team was formed under the leadership of Police inspector Kumaraswamy and his team swung into action and in order to nab the accused the cops from upparpet cottonpet and market formed three teams.During investigation we got to know that 7 member gang is involved in this.We got a tip off based on the statement by victim and with the technical inputs we were tipped off that abductors were using an old railway station building as hideout.when the cops rushed to the spot and asked him to surrender but in return to evade arrest and escape the main accused started hurling stones and attacked one of police with a dagger and he refused to surrender that’s when the sub inspector Rajendra opened fire in self defense to save and protect the staff.These people have come from Assam and in four months there are  several cases registered against them we have arrested the accused under stabbing,assault,Mobile Robbery and 10 other cases the gang also indulges in open bet and targetted those who walk at night a detailed investigation by team the team grilled the accused and spilled beans and said that he met Sharma, after spending two months at the Parappana Agrahara central prison in a human trafficking case,and he was released on bail on April 20. Khan and Mazeed had met Sharma at the prison.They plotted Sharma’s abduction after his release.Khan invited Sharma and his friend Gopal Singh on April 24 for dinner. They abducted the duo when they reached a particular area.A detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that there are more than 7 cases registered against him he is involved in Robbery,Murder and kidnap for ransom they usually target area like Market,East KR Puram and Majestic and the mastermind is Khan who has hatched a plan of kidnapping and he led a gang and indulged in robberies, abductions and other crimes.There are over seven cases against him in various stations in the city.The police managed to arrest Mujeed, 25, a native of Manipal and manhunt is on Jeethu Das, Pankaj Chora and other kidnappers who are still at large a case has been registered in Cottonpet police station and further investigation is on and finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,T.Suneel Kumar,Addl CP West,BK Singh has appreciated,DCP West,Ravi.D.Channanavar,ACP,Mahanth Reddy,PIs,as,Kumaraswamy.BG,Ramappa.B.Gutter,PSI,Rajendra,with Probationary PSIs and crime staff as,Jayachandra,Beerappa.Kannal,Habeebulla,and other staff for the commendable job done by them who has successfully nabbed the notorious mastermind behind the kidnapping bid with their associates and rescued the vicitms safely playing on their life he added.
