New Delhi, September 9, 2019: Saloni Bhakri from Maharashtra and Pooja Desai from Gujarat were crowned Mrs. India – Pride of Nation 2019 in two different categories. The grand finale was held on September 8, 2019 at The Leela Ambience Gurgaon. The third edition, like all the previous editions, organized by Glamour Gurgaon was focused on Breast Cancer Awareness.
Celebrities like Padmini Kolhapure, the famous Indian film actress and Nayani Dixit, known for her role as Kangana Ranaut’s friend in the movie Queen were the part of the jury panel. The Grand Finale of Mrs India – Pride of Nation 2019 had three rounds where the 90 contestants wore designer ensembles – Henna Sharma and Wedding Bells Rent & Attire by Srishti Arora Anand. The contestants have gone through many auditions and strenuous training sessions to groom them for this prestigious title.
Conceptualized by Barkha Nangia, Director – Glamour Gurgaon, the pageant is the epitome of womanhood in the modern world. With an aim to showcase the beauty and talent of these enthusiastic ladies, Mrs India – Pride of Nation 2019 also strives to empower them to be better contributors to the society. Most of the contestants from previous editions are already contributing towards the welfare of the society and at same time living their dreams and are working in the entertainment and fashion industry.
Sharing her views on the pageant, actor Padmini Kolhapure said, “It is an honour to be a part of this pageant. This platform is a stepping stone for all those women who are determined to fulfil their dreams. Judging these contestant was not an easy task as each one of them were equally good. I wish all the success to these deserving women and hope to see them soon in the entertainment industry”
Glamour Gurgaon has organized several beauty pageants so far, and provided a platform to various women to live their dreams. These pageants are organized on a grand scale with contestants being groomed in-depth training under image consultants, make-up artists, photo shoots, renowned fashion designers, and celebrities on the jury panel. All these goes into preparing to discover that one woman who deserves to be crowned as Mrs. India – Pride of Nation.
