THE LAST OF US PART 2: DROPING JUNE 19, 2020. “AN ASTONISHING, ABSURDLY AMBITIOUS EPIC”

The Last of Us II is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. Set five years after the events of The Last of Us (2013). The Last of Us 2 is an emotional, captivating gut-punch. Which explores themes of vengeance, tribalism, and the gray areas of morality, making it The Game of This Generation.

Troy Baker, the voice-over actor, who portrays Joel in The Last of Us series, did warn us. He said that we weren’t ready for The Last of Us 2 – and well he looks like he’s right. Whether you’ve have had spoilers, seen trailers or just have your own expectations of what The Last of Us 2 would be like, you won’t be prepared for the emotional impact of this stunning sequel – and there’s nothing like experiencing it first-hand.

Not only does it surmount every PS4 game that has released this generation but, takes a critically acclaimed formula and boosts it beyond what we possibly could’ve ever imagined.

The Last of Us II Plot

Part 2’s story is one of great scale and intricate nuance.

Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. After five years of their odyssey across the post-pandemic United States, living amongst a thriving community of survivors that has allowed them peace and stability. Despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors.

An indescribably traumatic opening episode leaves Ellie Hellbent on a crusade to hunt down those responsible for a seemingly unforgivable crime. Taking our teenage heroine away from the rural meadow of Jackson County and deep into the urban lush of Seattle, a city that experienced a very unlikely societal breakdown to The Last of Us’ Boston. Leading to its own distinctive threats to Ellie’s survival.

Without giving away anymore of its essence and spoilers, id sum it up by saying that what once started out as a reasonably straightforward tale of retribution morphs into something far more compound, intriguing, and sinister.

It’s a masterpiece in the gaming world. It has probably consumed every gaming fan. It’s the last thing that’s on fans’ minds going to bed, and the first thing that enters their head waking up. Marvelling at the entire sequences’ exquisite design. Its highly evocative in their fierce, emotional resonance that makes it a masterpiece.

What I’m saying is that The Last of Us Part 2 is exceptional, and quite possibly the best game, a gamer can play in this generation.

If the predecessor, the 2013’s- Last of Us was a road trip turned twisted coming of age story. Then the upcoming installment. The Last of us 2 is its revenge western companion piece.
