Karnataka Congress MLC’S son arrested by Amruthahalli police for assaulting Cops in drunken state :

Congress MLC (Member of Legislative Council) Naseer Ahmad’s son Fayaz was arrested in Bengaluru on Monday for allegedly assaulting a head constable in a drunken state.

The incident occurred early on Monday, when Fayaz and two others accompanying him in his car were stopped by police.Fayaz was allegedly in an inebriated condition and got into an argument with the police following which he assaulting the head constable on duty.

The incident took place near Hebbal flyover which falls under the Amruthahalli police station limits.

DCP, Northeast,CK Baba,told media persons,the Amruthahalli police have booked three persons including son of MLC for creating nuisance and allegedly assaulting policemen on night round over a trivial row on service road in the early hours of Monday .

The incident occurred on Sunday night near bethal church at around 11 pm when Head constable and his colleague noticed Fayaz Ahmed and his friends consuming alcohol in two cars parked on the side of the road and creating nuisance.

The police who were on patrolling to check mugging cases in the area checked their identity and later advised them to go home.

A Heated arguments ensued between the police and the gang who allegedly roughed up the police .

The policemen informed the control room and cheetah and hoysala who were patrolling near by rushed to the spot and detained three persons while the others managed to escape.

The trio have been brought to the station for further investigation while efforts are on to trace others who are on the run he added.

Drunk and driving checks were underway. After the personnel on duty noticed that Fayaz was drunk,they warned him,but he got into an argument instead.Then he escaped.We later arrested him, Additional Commissioner of Police (East Zone) S Murugan told media persons.

Fayaz has been charged under IPC section 353 (Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty). Investigation is underway.
