Hoskote Taluk Health Officer Manjunath who went missing mysteriously from three days was traced near Hassan on Friday.
Manjunath later taken to Nelamangala police station to record his statement before the police that he was depressed over the development followed by raid in a private hospital,few days ago and left to go on a long drive.
However he refused to divulge details about the person responsible for the depression.
Manjunath speaking to media said that he drove to Chikkaballapura,Ramanagara from there headed to mangaluru before returning home.
However Manjunath returned to Hassan before calling the Superintendent of Police,informing him about that he is coming back.
While he was returning the police who are on the lookout noticed him and brought to Nelamangala police.
Manjunath when asked about the reason for his mysterious disappearance he refused to reveal the name stating that everyone known the reason.
However Manjunath family alleged that Jayaraj, is responsible for the trouble and demanded action against him.
According to the family members,Manjunath had raided private hospital and seized drugs worth Rs.10 lakh which was stored illegally.
However Jayaraj on behalf of hospital went to Manjunath’s office and created ruckus on December 15.
Manjunath went to Hosakote police to file complaint but found Jayaraj was already there.
The police compromised the duo and advised Manjunath against filing complaint .
However while coming out of the station,Jayaraj allegedly stopped the car and threatened Manjunath with dire consequences.
Depressed over the behaviour,Manjunath drove away in his car after switching off the phone.
Jayaraj said to be close aide of MTB Nagaraj, having clout in the area.
Sources says that even police discourage Manjunath to file complaint since naming Jayaraj in the case would have adverse effect on the upcoming gram panchayath election.
