The Southeast Division Police of Bommanahalli police have arrested a inter-state criminal who was arrested in home alone women murder case and leads to fake Currency circulation case.
The accused has been identified as Ansari alias Shahul Hameed,35,from Vaddarapalya near Electronics city and his associate as,Pradeep,37,resident of Beggur.
The accused is even involved in several chain snatching cases.
Ansari alias Shahul hameed had murdered Nirmala Mary on December 3rd when she was alone at her house in Kodichikkanahalli on the pretext of enquiring about the house on rent and escaped after robbing valuables.
Senior officer said,The Bommanahalli police swung into action and analyzed the CCTV footage based on technical support they managed to arrest the accused and during investigation he confessed the crime.
Based on his statement the team recovered the stolen gold valuables and nabbed his associate Pradeep during interrogation he spilled the beans about fake currency notes circulation.
The team conducted search at his house the police has recovered Rs.2000 and 500 denomination fake currency notes,a colour printer,ink bottles and other materials used to make photocopies of currency notes from Pradeep’s house.
There were also 20 counterfeit notes of Rs 500 and 15 notes of Rs 2,000 from his possession.
A detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that the accused involved in over 30 criminal cases in Kerala and had shifted to Bengaluru and ganged up with his associate Pradeep and started circulating fake currency. The police recovered fake currency worth RS.10,000 from them.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant,has appreciated,Addl CP East,S Murugan,DCP,Southeast,Srinath Mahadev Joshi,ACP, Sudheer Hegde,PI,Ravishankar and his team for the exemplary and commendable job done by them in solving the murder case and busting fake currency racket and a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
