In a major operation conducted by Bengaluru CCB sleuths has busted Fake Government ID Cards racket by arresting a 10-Member gang who was involved in creating and selling of fake Pancard,Voter ID Card,RC Card,Aadhar Card,Driving licence.
The accused has been identified as,Kamlesh Kumar Bhavaliya,33,and his associates as,S Lokesh aged 37,resident of Puttenahalli, Sudarshan aged 50,Nirmal Kumar aged 56,both residents of Andrey Road in Shantinagar,Darshan aged 25 resident of Harsha Layout,in Kengeri, Sridhar aged 31,resident of Hassan,Chandrapppa aged 28 resident of Jnanabharati,Abhilash aged 27, resident of Marenahalli,Thejas aged 30,resident of Satyanarayana Layout,and Sridhar Desphande (35) resident of Vijayanagar.
Commissioner of police,Kamal Pant,told media persons that,the CCB sleuths of Special inquiry squad got a credible information about some criminal activities is going on in an apartment in Gubalala area.
Based on tip off a special team led by Joint CP Crime,Sandeep Patil, DCP Crime-1,KP Ravikumar,ACP,Hanumantharaya,PI,Jagadish and his team swung into action and raided the Nitya Heritage Apartment in Gubbalala and arrested Kamalesh Kumar Bhavaliya,33,who is running the racket.
During the raid at the apartment the team found Around 64,690 fake cards along with three laptops,three printers,a central processing unit (CPU),used to manufacture the cards and Rs. 67,000 have been seized from the accused who have been arrested.
The team has seized during raids included,9000-Blank Aadhar Cards,9000-Pancards,12,200-RC books,250-Printed fake RC,6240-Printed fake Voter ID,28,000-Blank fake Voter ID Cards,3- laptops,1-CPU used for crime has been seized from their possession.
The main accused has been identified as Kamalesh Kumar Bhavaliya (33),who resided in an apartment in the area.
During interrogation,Kamalesh confessed the crime and revealed that more people were involved in the process of issuing and selling fake cards across Karnataka by cheating the government and public for the last two years.
Based on his statement his nine other associates were arrested then based on his information the team seized fake ID cards from their possession.
After arresting all the accused the team grilled to know how they used to run the racket and what was there modus operandi.
A detailed investigation by the team has revealed that the accused Lokesh and few other accused were employee of Rosemerta technologies limited,which was given contract to print Government ID cards.
The accused explained to investigation officer that Lokesh stole the data to start his printing business venture and ganged up with Kamalesh Kumar.
The accused have also printed and sold thousands of DLs and fake registration cards as RCs for stolen vehicles.Such fake documents can be misused during verification for passport,bank loans,registration for stolen vehicles,and such.
This racket is operational since last two years and helping those who wanted government IDs illegally and without scrutiny.
A case has been registered at Talaghattapura Police Station and accused has been taken to custody to ascertain their network and their beneficiaries and investigation is underway.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant,has appreciated,Joint CP Crime,Sandeep Patil,DCP Crime-1,KP Ravikumar,ACP,N Hanumantharaya,PI,Jagadish and other PI and staff for the commendable job done by them who has busted a fake ID cards racket and a cash reward of Rs.40,000 will be given to the team he added.
