A City based online commerce company in the dock for allegedly selling fake products to delhi based advocate claiming that the products on sale are genuine and from reputed company.
Based on the complaint by Ajay Kumar Singh , advocate from Pratap Ganj of Mayur Vihar,The Pandav Nagar police have taken up a case against meesho.Com for the alleged cheating and criminal breach of trust on Thursday.
In a complaint Mr.Singh said that his friend had purchased a branded wrist watch and goggle of Titan and Ray Ban company from meesho.com through online.The company situated at No.20,Surya Square,Intermediate Ring road Srinivagilu,Koramangala.
As per the procedure Mr Singh and his friend opened online account to book the products.As per the description details total amount of Rs 800 was paid and the products delivered to the address specified.
To their shock the products turned out to be fake, Mr Singh contacted the company to raise complaint and sought reimbursement but they refused outrightly.
Mr.Singh even contacted the Titan and Ray Ban company outlet for clarification.The company confirmed that the products are fake.
Mr. Singh researched online to find that the company selling fake products under reputed names and charging 70 per cent higher prices than the actual price of the fake products.
Mr.Singh even raised complaints with the directors Vidit Aatery and Sanjeev Kumar about the issue and sought clarification and asked for reimbursement but went in vain.
This is a blatant violation of law and mockery of the system which needs immediate criminal action,Mr.Singh said.
The police are planning to send notice to the company for inquiry.
