Traffic police owe to act against motorists with tampers silencers.

City Police commissioner,Kamal Pant along with Joint CP traffic,Dr BR Ravikanthe Gowda,DCP North,Dharmendra Kumar Meena,DCP Traffic West,Dr SK Soumyalatha,ACP,Gopal Krishna Gowda,PI,Sridhar,Venkatesh and others addressed the grievances of public at meet the traffic police as Sanchara Samparka Divasa in Rajajinagar.

During addressing the grievances of residents at Sanchara Samparka Divasa, Commissioner Kamal Pant warned strict action against motorists if they ride and drive around the city with tampered vehicle silencers.

The warning came in the wake of many residents especially home makers aired their Grivences at the sanchara Samparka Divasa,police public meet held in Rajajinagar on Saturday.

The residents said that vehicles with tampered silencers are causing fear psychosis among the senior citizens and children in the residential areas.

Due to this high decibel shrill horn noises,aged and ailing residents get palpitations.Despite many attempts to stop the menace continue unattended,Geetha Mishra,a resident of Basaveshwara Nagar said to commissioner during the meet.

Assuring to take strict action,Mr Pant directed the officials to take strict measures to contain the menace.

The city Police contemplating having all the offices under one roof at the jurisdiction level.

Mr.Pant said that the city police are working on measures to improve public police relation and tried to better the services offered for the convenience of the people.

Right now,offices of senior police officials are situated at different locations owing to space constraints.As a result,people wanting to meet them have to travel from one jurisdiction to another.In order to improve services to make it more convenient for people,we are planning to have all the offices under a single roof,Mr.Pant said on Saturday.

The traffic police have carried special drive against tampered silencers vehicles earlier and even booked many mechanics under various provisions,Dr BR Ravikanthe Gowda, Joint commissioner,Traffic,told reporters.

He said all The traffic police will be instructed to carry such drive again and book the offenders under section 107 ( security for keeping the peace and for good behaviour ) of Cr PC and get a bond of Rs 1 lakh executed from the owner of the vehicle he added.
