Four persons injured when the fuel tank of a motorcycle exploaded in a bike repair shop situated in Cholurpalya 9th cross in KP Agrahara police station limits on Sunday morning.
The shop belonging to Annamalai,40, while Punith Shankar,28,Nanjunda,22 and Vishwanath, 20,who were at the shop sustained injuries and rushed to hospital.Annamalai and Nanjunda are said to be critical.
The incident occurred when the annamalai and Nanjunda removed the tank from a bike which had come for service and kept it near the electrical transformer outside their shop.
The tank contain petrol and a spark from the transformer ignited the fire and while Annamalai and Nanjunda trying to put it out,it exploaded.
Passers by scared due to the impact as four people were thrown out on the road due to explosion.The injured were rushed to hospital where they are recovering.
Based on the complaint filed by punith shankar the police have registered a case against Annamalai and the BESCOM officials.
The complainant stated that the spark from the transformer led to the mishap.However the investigation will reveal the cause for blast,as the KP Agrahara police inspector with FSL and fire and emergency services personnel visited the spot to ascertain the cause a senior police officer said.
