In a shocking incident,a man allegedly killed his paramour and her mother by slitting their throat at Baichapura of Devanahalli taluk in Bengaluru Rural district here on Saturday night and later surrendered before the police along with their child.
The accused has been identified as,Malaya Parida (40) allegedly killed Ramadevi (30) and her mother Laxmidevi (50).They hail from Bagepalli in Kolar district.The accused Malaya Kumar Fareed hails from Assam.
A senior police officer told media persons,that the incident took place at late night when Lakshmidevi’s husband and her son had gone for work in Hosakote.
Fareed had a live in relationship with Ramadevi for the past few years and the couple had four month old child.They used to have frequent fight after Ramadevi started forcing him to marry.
Fareed was dodging her request but on Saturday,he noticed that she along with her mother sleeping in a room in Baichapura.
He attacked them with a machete and slit their throats.Later he came to the police station and confessed the crime.
In his confession Fareed said that he is working as a fabricator in an under construction apartment while his partner Ramadevi was doing house keeping work.They had developed relationship since 2018 and Ramadevi delivered a baby in September 2020.
Ramadevi started forcing him to get marry since they had a kid and he started avoiding.But Ramadevi mother told some seniors in the apartment premise to advice him to get marry soon.Upset over this he decided to kill them.
Lakshmidevi was also abused and humiliated by Fareed frequently demanding that he should marry Ramadevi.
Devanahalli police on Sunday conducted spot mahazar and shifted the bodies to postmortem. Fareed was remanded to judicial custody.
