No permission has been granted for farmers protest scheduled on Wednesday : Kamal Pant

Several farmers association proposed to stage Rajbhavan chalo from city railway station to protest against farm laws.

Thousand of farmers expected to reach the city from across the state.The opposition congress party members are joining the protest demanding the centre to withdraw farm laws and against fuel price hike.

The protestors expected to March from city Railways station, Freedom park and from there reach Rajbhavan to submit memorandum.

Traffic in and around majestic area is going to be affected.

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant said that though the protestors have informed about the program seeking permission,it was denied citing Covid guidelines in force.

As per the rules a group more than 200 people cannot be gathered.

Meanwhile Elaborate security arrangements have been done to monitor law and order situation and the police,have been asked to take necessary measures depending on the situation he added.
