The North Division police of Bagalagunte police have arrested a 62 year old habitual offender and recovered gold and silver valuables worth RS.7 lakh from his possession.
The accused has been identified as,Lurdarnathan,62, native of Tamilnadu.
DCP North, Dharmendra Kumar Meena,told media persons,based on increase in house breaking thefts took place recently a special team was consisted by PI,Sunil HB to nab the miscreants.
The accused was arrested on Friday by alert beat police when he was moving suspiciously near Dasarahalli metro station.
The beat police identified the accused and brought him to the station for inquiry.
A detailed inquiry by the crime team the accused confessed the crime and said he has committed three house breaks thefts reported in the city last year in different police stations.
Based on his information the police team recovered the 130 grams gold ornaments and 1.5 kg of silver articles, altogether worth of RS.7 lakhs recovered which he had Pawned.
A detailed investigation by the team it is revealed that the accused is a habitual offender involved in over half a dozen of house break thefts and even arrested by Peenya police and jailed.
After coming out on bail he continues to commit house breaks thefts.The accused is plumber by profession,moved around the areas on the pretext of work but identify the locked houses and steal valuables to lead a lavish lifestyle is now cooling is heels in jail.
