The West Division police of Kalasipalya police have arrested group of three students who along with three others abducted and robbed an 18 year old student on the,pretext of buying his phone.
The accused has been identified as,Hussain Shariff,Afrid Khan and Adnan Pasha.
Senior officer told media persons a complaint was registered in Kalasipalya police station under arms act and abduction against six unknown miscreants who has abducted and robbed a 18 year old student on the pretext of buying his mobile phone.
The victim,Anuraj Sharma,Persuing bachelor of business administration in jain college stated in his complaint that he offered to sell his mobile phone in an online commercial website.
On Saturday evening,he got a call from man who called him and offered to buy the phone.After negotiation he asked Sharma to come near chickpet metro station with the phone.
Sharma went with the phone and the accused told him he would get the money from home and took him along.
The accused took him to single room situated in an four storeyed building in mothinagar in a Kalasipalya.
As Sharma entered the room the accused took out a chopper and started beating him and took away his mobile phone and cash Rs 20,000.
Later the accused gagged him and decided to shift him to another location.
However while he was being escorted down, Sharma escaped and with the help of a shop keeper on Avenue road,Sharma approached the police he said in his complaint.
Based on the complaint the police inspector of Kalasipalya police station Chandrakanth and his team visited the crime spot and after analysing CCTV footage and other technical inputs the team swung into action.
Based on credible information the inspector and his crime team Zeroed in Hussain Shariff and during interrogation he confessed the crime and said he along with five others are involved in the crime.
The crime team grilled him and he spilled the beans about the incident and based on his statement our team nabbed Afrid Khan and Adnan Pasha and recovered the weapons and three mobile phones used in commiting crime and cash Rs.10,000 from them has been recovered.
A manhunt is on for the other three who are part of this crime a special team is working on it and will be nabbed soon a case has been registered in Kalasipalya police station and further investigation is on.
