The CCB officials arrested three persons who are illegally running horse race betting racket from a lodge in Subedar Chatram Road under Sheshadripuram police station limits on Friday and seized 5.05 lakh cash and mobile phones from them.
The accused has been identified as,S Mithun,33, V Raghu,47,and Shivaraju,30.
Sandeep Patil, Joint commissioner of police Crime,told media persons,Based on a tip off,the Special inquiry squad team headed by ACP, Hanumantharaya,PI,AP kumar and team raided Ganesha Lodge and found three persons were running illegally horse race bets based on which the team arrested S Mithun, 33,V Raghu,47,and Shivaraju, 30.The police have also seized 5.05 lakh and mobile phones from them.
During interrogation it was revealed that the accused were receiving the bets from the punters on the horses and races scheduled for Saturday.The police have seized their mobile phones to ascertain the network.A case has been registered against the accused in Sheshadripuram police station and further investigation is on.
