International level drug racket busted,Six Notorious Drug peddlers arrested,Charas Worth Rs.35 Lakhs Seized :

The Anti-Narcotics Wing of CCB on Thursday busted another international drug racket and arrested six persons including two women from Nepal who had come to Bengaluru to deliver the consignment.

The accused has been identified as,Asghar Ali,Anwar Sadath,36,Abdul Lateef,40,Mohammed Haneef,45 from Mangaluru,and two women identified as Dil Mayagarthy,40,and Meena Budda Mogara from Nepal.

Sandeep Patil,Joint Commissioner of police,Crime told reporters,that a credible information was received by our DCP Crime-1,KP Ravikumar,stating that some people in a hotel are in possession of drugs.

Acting on a tip off a team of CCB,Police Inspector Lakshmikanthaiah and his team swung into action and rushed to spot and raided a hotel near Sambhram college in Vidyaranyapura and noticed that there were six people in a room and two were women hailing from Nepal.

The team searched the room and the team during search recovered four kilograms of Charas worth Rs 35 lakh from them and based on which the team arrested all the six accused.

During interrogation the accused confessed the crime and it was found the main accused is Asghar Ali,who is a notorious Rowdy sheeter and a drug peddler of mangaluru based and was released from jail recently and continued to peddling drugs.

The team grilled him and the accused spilled the beans and revealed that he was sourcing the drugs from his contact identified as Kum in Nepal.Kum reportedly sent two women as Mule to hand over the consignment.

The two women have been identified as Dil Mayagarthy,40,and Meena Budda Mogara from Nepal.

The other accused identified as,Anwar Sadath, 36,Abdul Lateef,40,and Mohammed Haneef,45 from Mangaluru are associates of Asghar Ali.

The accused had planned to take the drugs to Mangaluru to peddler.The police have taken the accused into custody to ascertain the root of the drugs and also to ascertain their network a case under NDPS Act has been registered against all the accused and further investigation is on.

FinallyBengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant, has appreciated, Joint CP Crime, Sandeep Patil, DCP Crime-1, KP Ravikumar, ACP Anti-Narcotics Wing,KC Gautam and his team as,PI,Lakshmikanthaiah,and other staff who has successfully nabbed all the six accused and recovered Charas from them by busting international level drug racket and for the commendable job done by the team a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
