Subramanyanagar Police arrest van driver who fled with Rs.64 lakh cash meant for ATMs :

The North Division police of Subramanyanagar police on Tuesday arrested cash deposit vehicle driver Yogesh who was on the run with Rs 64 lakh cash since February 2 .

The accused has been identified as,Yogesh a resident of Yelachennahalli in KR pet Mandya.

Senior officer,told media persons,as the incident was reported in Subramanyanagar police station limits a special team was formed under the supervision of Inspector,Sanjeev Gowda and his crime staff swung into action.

The team visited the crime scene and collected all the information about the incident and then the team started analysing CCTV camera footage.

In which the team noticed the ATM Van driver Yogesh was last seen walking away with the cash bag and seen boarding the Autorickshaw.

The police team tracked the auto driver and collected information and then kept a close watch on his family members,relatives and friends and based on vital clues the team rushed to HD Kote.

During questioning to his relatives and friends the team got to know that the accused being married and having a child planned to elope with his girl friend who is also his relative.

The team rushed to the spot and zeroed in him and during interrogation he confessed the crime and revealed after taking the cash he had gone to meet his wife and handed over 50,000 cash to her.He said her that he is going out on some work and will return after 2-3 days.

Later he met his lawyer identified as Sridhar and gave 46 lakhs to him and then went to Kukke Subramani and from there he reached to Mysuru and took shelter at his relative house in HD Kote and lived in a rented house for few days before police followed him.

The team grilled him and recovered Rs 36 lakh from his possession and brought him to Bengaluru to find out about the rest of the money.A case has been registered in Subramanyanagar police station and further investigation is on.

Senior officer even said as the accused has given money to his lawyer we will take lawyer also into custody and will ascertain the reason behind the crime he said.
