Bengaluru RPF’s “NAHNE FARISTEH” TEAM RESCUES TRAFFICKED CHILDREN From Railway Stations :

Railway Protection Force -Operation“Nanhe Faristeh”of Bengaluru Division rescued as many as seven children who were victims of trafficking from across the country since last Sunday.

The team on Monday rescued a 14 year old from Platform No.9 in KSR Bengaluru Railway Station. Inquiry revealed that he was brought to work in a wood industry in Maddur.He ran away from the work place and had reached Bengaluru.

The team also also rescued a 14 year old girl at Yelahanka Railway station on Monday.The Girl was kidnapped from Bhilwara in Rajasthan.

The team also apprehended the kidnapper and informed Rajasthan police who are arriving to take the kidnapper to their custody,a senior officer said.

Earlier on Sunday,the team rescued four minor boys from Bihar who were coerced into child labour ran away from the trafficker and reached the KSR Bengaluru Railway station .

Another boy who was brought from Tripura to use as child labour found on Platform No.1 of KSR Bengaluru Railway Station was also rescued on Sunday.

The rescued children were handed over to designated NGO for rehabilitation .

Railway Protection Force of South Western Railway has taken up the initiative of rescuing runaway/trafficked children who come in contact with Railways.

The Protection Force has formed dedicated rescue teams for this purpose under “Operation Nanhe Faristeh” and team has rescued From January, 2017 till date,more than 3000 children have been rescued from child trafficking at various Railway Stations in south Western Railway.The much-awarded unit is headed by Senior Divisional Security Commissioner,RPF, Bengaluru,Debashmita Chattophadhyay Banerjee.
