The West Division police of City Market Police, has arrested eight inter-state dreaded criminals who were indulged in trading illegal sophisticated arms in the City.
The Market Police Inspector BG Kumara Swamy and his three Special teams which consists of 30 police officers and men has travelled about 1200 kilometres to nab this criminals a month long Operation was done by the inspector and his teams and recovered 13 pistols and 52 live cartridges from them.
The arrested accused has been identified as, Kadeer Khan,32,from Karnataka,Fayazulla Khan, 31,Vinay from Tamilnadu,Parag Kumar,39,from Uttar Pradesh,Shanawaz Ansari,29,from Gujarat, Naseer Sheikh,50,Salman Khan,28,and Fakhruddin,37,from Madhya Pradesh.
Kamal Pant,Commissioner of police,held a press conference at his house in the presence of Addl CP West,Soumendhu Mukherjee,DCP West,Dr Sanjeev M Patil,ACPs,as,P Ravi,U D Krishna Kumar,and other staff,he said a credible information was passed to Inspector BG Kumara Swamy of city market police station.
Based on the information the Inspector informs his senior officers about the illegal sophisticated arms are being trade illegally in the city and a person is halted in Konark Residency lodge on J.P. Street and is waiting to trade guns.
Based on the information a special team was formed by DCP West,Dr Sanjeev M Patil,a team headed by PI,City market police station BG Kumara Swamy and his team swung into action.
The team played a vital role as the team went as clients or customers to purchase the gun as the inspector and his team went to the lodge as decoy and met the person in the lodge where he was taken shelter the team met the person by name Khader Khan and the person showed them two country made pistol for which he asked 1.10 lakh for each pistol.
Later the team said him that we need more pistol and the person agrees to get it and when they asked from where does he source the gun and when he can get more arms at the same time he calls his counterparts as associates who were involved in the racket.
The police team kept a close watch on the Khader Khan and after collecting vital clues about the racket the team detained him on January 29th and arrested him under arms act and produced him before court and took him to police custody for further interrogation.
After getting police custody,the team grilled the accused who spilled the beans about the racket and other gang members.
Based on his statement three special teams swung into action a team consisting of 30 officers and men went to different places almost they travelled about 1200 kilometres in a month long operation the team was success in nabbing other 7 accused from different state and recovered totally 13 country made pistols and 52 rounds of live ammunition from them.
A detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that a small clue by a Sampigehalli murder case accused spilled about the illegal gun trading the inspector and his team took the case very seriously and collected all the concrete evidence and it was revealed that the gang was operating from Central Prison and Khader Khan and other gang would execute it.
The gang used to make a demo video to show to their clients the quality and how it works and bring fear among people and to commit robberies and dacoity this gang used to trade sophisticated illegal gun trading racket in the city.
But a month long operation by Inspector BG Kumara Swamy and his PSI, Smt.Shruthi G who is expert in detecting crime by using technical skills,has played a vital role in the operation tracking down the notorious dreaded criminal in which one of the accused is a sharp shooter of uttar Pradesh.
By arresting these accused the team has averted many crimes and other heinous activities in the city totally 13 country made pistol with 52 live ammunition with two cars used for crime has been recovered from them.
A case has been registered in city market police station and further investigation is on to ascertain the details of their customers to whom they have sell the pistols a detailed investigation will be carried out by Inspector and his team.

Kamal Pant,Commissioner of police,announced a reward by tweeting,Kudos to DCP West& team for apprehending a gang of robbers involved in multiple cases of robberies and thefts.
Gold ornaments worth Rs.1.5 Crore,1.58 Kg of silver articles,13 pistols and 52 live cartridges were seized from the accused.A cash reward of Rs.1.15 lakh has been announced to the team he added.
