Eleven days after the CD scandal broke out, Ramesh Jarkiholi on Saturday filed a complaint with Sadashivanagar police through his close confidant
MV Nagaraj,former MLA,submitted the complaint to Sadashivanagar police,duly signed by Ramesh, seeking detailed probe.
Though Ramesh earlier claimed that he knew about the people behind behind CD scandal,he however did not named the accused or suspects in his complaint .
He said that some people have blackmailed and defamed him and hence he requested a detailed probe,he said in his complaint.
The sadashivanagar police informed the SIT about the complaint and the jurisdictional DCP MN Anucheth,who is also part of the SIT.
The SIT meanwhile continue to track down journalist from Tumakur who is suspected to be part of the scandal.
Based on the complaint the police registered an FIR charging unknown persons under section 385,465,120B and section 469 read with section 34 of IPC.
After registering complaint against unknown person Former Minister,Ramesh Jarkiholi addressing Media persons said,He stated that a conspiracy was going on against him for the past three months by creating a fake CD (video) to finish him off politically and blackmail him.
There are many people involved in it,amongst them,a few hatched the conspiracy,became part of preparing the fake CD and released it on the internet to create political instability,Jarkiholi said in his statement.
Jarkiholi even said he has decided to fight the case legally.To a question on not naming anyone, he said he lodged the complaint on the instructions of legal experts.
Claiming that a criminal conspiracy was behind it, the former minister said he will make sure that everyone involved is brought out.He reiterated that the plot was hatched around Yeshwanthpura and there were three prominent teams.
This is the first time the alleged victim has made her public appearance after complaint was registered by Ramesh Jarkiholi in the alleged sleaze CD case.
In the 34-second video from the unknown location,the alleged victim,has requested the Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai to protect her and her family.
I don’t have protection.All that I ask you all is give me protection,”she appealed to Bommai.
She has claimed that the CD has damaged her reputation and as a result,both she and her family have attempted suicide.
My dignity is lost after the video became public. People are coming to our house enquiring about me.My parents tried to commit suicide twice and I too attempted suicide at least three to four times,she said in the video message which has gone viral on social media.
The woman has also stated that she does not know how the video of her and Ramesh Jarkiholi was captured.
Nobody is behind us.We don’t have any political support.Ramesh Jarkiholi promised me a job and did everything and released the video.I don’t know why and how.I don’t have any protection. All that I ask for is my security, she said in her video statement.
The development comes after the Bengaluru police registered on Saturday a case of conspiracy and blackmailing, among other charges,against unknown persons based on a complaint by Jarkiholi,who resigned as the water resources minister after a CD purportedly showed him seeking sexual favours from a woman in exchange for a job.
Following the video statement of the woman, Jarkiholi said her allegations came shortly after the FIR and that it was a proof he was being targeted.
The BJP leader said he had met Home Minister Bommai regarding the FIR,and that he did not know much about the woman’s video apart from what the media told him.
Let her complain if she wants.I will face it.The CD is fake.I have requested Home Minister Bommai to speed up the investigation,he said.
Responding to the woman’s claims,Bommai said he had not yet seen the video.I have seen news reports.I am told the victim’s family is facing death threats.I have directed SIT officials to give them security.SIT will investigate the video, he said.
Meanwhile The SIT officials on Saturday continue to search for the prime suspect who is from Shira and presently on the run.
The suspect is said to be link between the five detained in Friday for questioning and the main conspirator of the CD.
The SIT officials have carried search at his house after obtaining permission from the court under section 94 of CrPC.The person who handed over CD to complainant and on whose behest he handed over the CD.
Meanwhile the technical team of CCB probing the CDR and the bank details of the five suspects to ascertain the motive and how the entire operation of CD scandal was carried.
Meanwhile the police also carried search at the neighboring states in Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu,where the suspect said to have escaped.
The search for the woman in CD and her friend who reportedly stayed in Devanahalli is still on.
Earlier in the day, the special investigation team (SIT) formed to probe the alleged scandal detained a person from Vijayapura near Devanahalli in Bengaluru.So far, five people have been detained,including a hacker,says reports.
