The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) on Saturday took repair work at Rajarajeshwarinagar to avoid the leakages in the 1600 mm dia pipeline of Cauvery Water Supply System 4th stage phase 1.
In view of this,there was a disruption in water supply in many areas in the city on Saturday.
Many residents in Bhuvaneshwarinagar in Rajajinagar area where unhappy with the BWSSB officials as they intimated about the disruption of water supply very late as many people were anger on the system of not informing in advance by the BWSSB as in the end time that too after late midnight at 12 on March 21st they informed the residents that there will be no water supply.
When our correspondent contacted senior BWSSB official,Suhas of Rajajinagar area confirmed that there will be no water supply due to pipe has been damaged and repair work is under progress and it will be repaired by Sunday evening he even said that we have issued a release regarding it he added.
As many other civic bodies are passing the message to citizens by posting the press release on social media like Twitter, Facebook,and other social media platforms as now every citizen are on social media so they can receive update through it so it will be easy for us to know many residents appeals and requested that from next time BWSSB officials should announce early as now it is summer time and water is needed for everyone so we request the authorities to inform us in advance a resident said.
Many residents even said they were tired calling the BWSSB control room number-080-22238888, they tried calling nearly 20-30 times no one was responding to calls and calls were not getting connected to BWSSB control room and even toll-free number was also not getting connected 1916 as residents slammed BWSSB for their apathy and requested to authorities to inform in advance or through social media platforms.
The water supply will be affected in the following areas on Sunday.They are:Mahalakshmi Layout, Rajajinagar, Nandini Layout,Milk colony, Kanteerava Nagar,KHB colony,Kamakshipalya, Kurubarahalli,Shankarmutt,Sharada colony, Shakthi Ganapathinagar,K.M.Halli, Yeshwanthpura, APMC,RMC yard,Industrial yard,Basaveshwaranagar,Attiguppe,Govindaraja nagar,Chandra layout,
Vijayanagar,Moodalapalya,Nayandahalli, Annapoorneshwarinagar,Sir M.V. Layout,Peenya, BEML layout,Kamalanagar,LIC colony,Teacher colony,SBI Officers Colony,KHB,Vrushabhavathi Nagar,Dasarahalli,Nagarabhavi,NGF layout, Papareddy Palya,ITI Layout,Vidhanasoudha layout,Bagalgunte, Peenya,Laggere, RPC Layout.
