Notorious Habitual HBT offender arrested by Rajajinagar police stolen property Worth Rs.6 lakhs recovered:

The North Division police of Rajajinagar police caught a 42 year old habitual offender and recovered 142 grams of gold valuables worth Rs 6 lakh from him.

The accused has been identified as,Srinivas,42,Resident of Peenya.

Senior officer told reporters,that the police sub-inspector of Rajajinagar police station was on patrolling with his team to nab HBT offenders as a special team was formed to check on persons roaming suspiciously in the area.

When the PSI,Anil Kumar and his team was on patrolling received a credible information from their reliable inputs that one person is moving suspiciously near Jalahalli cross as soon as the information was received PSI and staff rushed to spot and met the informant and collected the information.

The team rushed to spot and kept a close watch on the person after getting suspicious about his movements the team zeroed in on him.

During search the team found a gold necklace in his pocket and during questioning about the necklace the suspect dint gave any documents and revealed that he has stolen it from a Byadarahalli recently and came to sell it to jeweller.

Based on his statement the team brought him to Rajajinagar police station for further investigation and based on his statement the team recovered 142 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs.6 lakhs from him.

A detailed questioning by the team it has been revealed that the accused released from prison recently and stolen valuables from the house in the outskirts of the city.

Srinivasa was Involved in over 50 house break thefts in and around the city.He started stealing at the age of 17 years since he has been arrested many times but then also continued his crime activities.

The Rajajinagar police have taken him into custody to question him about his activities after he was released from prison and further investigation is on.
