The Women Protection wing of the CCB on Monday caught a 27 year old man red handed selling Remdesivir injection vials to the public for a price of Rs.12,000 per vial in Chamarajapete on Monday.
The accused has been identified as,Nitin Krishna,27, resident of Chamarajapete.
Senior officer told media persons,our Women protection Wing officers got a credible information about a person is selling Remdesivir vials for exhobirant price in Chamarajapete area.
Based on a tip off a team of officials headed by Hazaresh Killedar and team went as prospective clients and met the Nitin Krishna and ordered for Remdesivir injection vials the accused agreed to give us for Rs.12,000 per vial so we asked him to get 2 injection vials.
When he brought the Remdesivir injection to give us he was caught red handed and recovered two vials from him.
During investigation he confessed the crime and told the police that he is buying the vials from his contacts for Rs.8,000 and selling it to the people for Rs.12,000 who are in urgent need and by selling one vial he used to get 4000 margin as profit.
When he was subjected to detailed questioning he Nithin also told the officials that he had sold around 12 vials to the public for the past few days.
Based on his confession the CCB registered a case against Nithin with Chamarajapete charging him under various sections of the drug control act .
Based on his information the police are now on the lookout for Haribabu,(40) and Gopala,35 from Chikkalasandra who had sold the vials to Nithin and the duo will be nabbed soon he added.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner, Kamal Pant, has appreciated Joint CP Crime,Sandeep Patil DCP Crime-1,KP Ravikumar,ACP,SM Nagaraj,PI,Hazaresh Killedar and his team for nabbing the person who was hoarding illegally Remdesivir injection vials and selling it at exhobirant rate to become rich is now cooling his heels in jail and a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
