CCB Police arrests man for black marketing oxygen:

The central crime branch officials arrested a man who was indulged in selling Oxygen cylinder charging exorbitant rates.

The CCB officials on Friday raided Siga gases private limited situated in Peenya and arrested branch incharge for selling oxygen cylinders in black.

The accused has been identified as, Ravikumar,36.

Senior officer told reporters,we received a credible inputs about the oxygen cylinders are being sold charging exhobirant rates as 10 times the actual price.

Based on a tip off,a team of police visited Siga gases private limited and approached Ravi kumar,36,as prospective customers seeking gas cylinders the branch manager agreed to sell it for Rs.6000.

and once he handed over the cylinder we caught him red handed while handing over two cylinders to the officials for Rs 6000.

During investigation the accused confessed the crime and it has revealed that he was selling cylinder of 47 liters capacity to Rs.3000 each whereas the government rate for the same is Rs. 300.

Ravi kumar has been booked under cheating, Drug Control Act and also under Essential Commodities act and further investigation is on.

Finally Director General and Inspector General of Police,Praveen Sood has appreciated, Commissioner of police,Kamal Pant and his team as,Joint CP Crime,Sandeep Patil,DCP Crime-1,KP Ravikumar and their whole team for the commendable and Good work done to punish pandemic profiteering and a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
