Rajasthan: Air Marshal Sandeep Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Air Command paid his maiden visit to Air Force Station Jodhpur and Jaisalmer on 25 May 2021 after assuming the command. The Air Marshal visited the frontline Air Bases to check operational preparedness and initiatives taken to deal with COVID-19 pandemic. He also visited No 15 Air Force Hospital at Jaisalmer
The Air Marshal was briefed by Base Commanders on various operational, maintenance and administrative aspects of the Stations. He underlined the need for a dynamic approach towards achievement of organizational goals and motivated the personnel to uphold the glorious traditions of the Air Force. During the course of the visit, the Air Marshal also took stock of preparedness for management of COVID-19 pandemic. He urged all personnel to take necessary precautions against the ongoing pandemic situation and continue to work with enthusiasm and caution in the environment of new normal.
The AOC-in-C commended the doctors, nurses and staff of No 15 Air Force Hospital, which has been the nodal centre for COVID-19 patients of Army and Air Force and has also created a dedicated 30 bed facility for the civilian population of Jaisalmer.
