As many as 10 vials of liposomal Amphotericin B Were reportedly stolen from the locker of Victoria hospital on may 30.
Dr.Srinivas Ramakrishna V,Resident medical officer of Victoria hospital filed a complaint with VV Puram police on May 31.
According to him the unused medicine were checked on may 30 at around 8 pm and stores in locker at the MPB building situated on the 7th floor of the hospital before the duty doctor Dr.Pranav and Dr. Sanjana and staff.
The keys were then kept at the table of nursing station corner table.
The theft came to light when the next shift doctor Dr.Sahana came and checked the stock.
The matter was brought to the notice of RMO who in turn conducted inquiry and brought into the notice of his higher ups before filing complaint.
Senior officer told reporters,we have received a complaint from the RMO and we have issued notice to the doctors and staff on duty to appear for questioning and action will be taken after a detailed investigation in the case and further investigation will be done by VV Puram police inspector and staff and culprits will be arrested soon he added.
