The Anti-Narcotics wing of the Central Crime Branch sleuths on Wednesday busted another drug racket and arrested a 28-year-old Nigerian national for peddling drugs and recovered 54 grams of Cocaine Worth of Rs.4 lakhs from his possession.
The accused has been identified as,KELVIN IDIKA OKORO S/O OKORO,28 Years,UBURU VILLAGE, ABUJA Head Quarters, (Local Govt) ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA.
Senior officer told media persons,our Anti-Narcotics Wing CCB ACP,KC Gautham kumar received a credible inputs that a foreign national is indulged in peddling drugs near Horamavu signal in service road.
Based on a tip off,a team of officials headed by PI,Lakshmikanthaiah and team rushed to the spot in Horamavu service road and kept a close watch on the suspect and once the foreign national was fixing a deal with his clients the team arrested him red handed while peddling drugs and took him to custody for questioning.
During investigation the accused was identified as,Kelvin Idika Okoro and our team recovered 54 grams of cocaine worth Rs 4 lakh from him.
Kelvin was selling the drugs to his contacts in front of a liquor shop.The accused had come to India on a Student Visa and started peddling drugs to his contacts sourcing them through his contacts in Mumbai.
The accused has been booked under NDPS and Foreigners Act at Sampigehalli police station and efforts are on to track down his contacts and ascertain his network.
These can pass off as simple looking chalk powder..but is synthetic drug Cocaine..One African drug peddler arrested by CCB..
