Bengaluru: Bike borne miscreants wield machetes at petrol bunk staff, loot Rs.43,000

The East Division police of Bharatinagar police are on the lookout for a gang of armed seven who threatened and robbed a cashier of a petrol pump situated on wheelers road situated a few yards away from the police station in the wee hours of Saturday.

The attacking incident has caught on camera where in group of men are seen attacking a cashier who was attending customers at Petrol bunk.

Senior officer told media persons, Pramod,22,was managing the station at around 4 am,while his two colleagues went to rest at the cabin.

The accused came in three bikes and one of the bikers came to fill for the petrol of Rs 250 and paid the money.

While Pramod was returning the change, the pillion rider tried to snatch the cash.

When Pramod objected,the pillion rider smiled at him,saying he was joking. But soon he along with his associates got down from the bike pulled a matchete and took away the cash while the two of his associates held him.

The accused threatened Pramod to kill when he tried to resist or shout .

Though there are two customers present at the bunk they did not react,while the accused took away the Rs.43,432 from Pramod and sped away in the bikes.

Pramod soon shouted for help and by the time his colleagues Sharath Babu and Chandrashekhar rushed to his rescue till then the accused escaped with the cash bag .

The entire incident was captured in the CCTV  installed at the station.

The Bharati Nagar police have taken up a case of robbery and efforts are on to track down the accused a special team has been formed to nab the accused as soon as possible he added.
