The white topping work from down ramp of Sri Balagangadharanath Swamiji bridge to SJP Road has been completed in 10 days instead of the 15 day-deadline.
BBMP Chief Commissioner, Gaurav Gupta said,I’m pleased to inform you all that the white topping work from Sri Balagangadharanath Swamiji flyover to SJP Road as part of the redevelopment of NR Road has been completed in 10 days instead of the 15-day deadline. The road has been opened to traffic since 3PM yesterday.
As part of development of NR Road in tender sure model by BBMP, the right side of the road was being white topped,from down ramp of Sri Balagangadharanath Swamiji bridge to SJP Road along with the construction work on the cross gutter.
To resolve waterlogging at the down ramp during monsoon,the construction work on cross gutter and white topping had commenced with a deadline of completing the work within 15 days as per the discussion between Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) and Chief Engineer (Project) on 6 August 2021.
The work, which commenced on 7 August, began with redevelopment of cross gutter along with a work on rain water canal near SJP Road junction, and ended with white topping work by 17 August, Tuesday.
The road has been opened for vehicular traffic at 3 PM,on the same day.
The BBMP Chief Commissioner,Gaurav Gupta, Commissioner of police,Kamal Pant,Joint Commissioner of police,Traffic,Dr BR Ravikanthe Gowda,DCP, Traffic West, Kuldeep Kumar R Jain,and other officers has thanked the public and traffic police department for their cooperation during the development work which has been completed in 10 days he added.
