Bengaluru Traffic police launched special drive against motorists performing bike stunts on roads posing threat to road users and booked eight persons who were wheeling on the roads across the city.
In a special drive conducted by East Division and west Division traffic police caught 8 notorious wheelie wonkers in which two are juvenile and their parents has been summoned .
Pulakeshinagar traffic police inspector and special wheelie squad caught one person performing wheeling obstructing others.
Banaswadi Traffic police inspector and their special wheelie squad caught one person performing dangerous stunts endangering others life.
KR Puram Traffic police inspector and his special wheelie squad caught four notorious bike rider performing dangerous stunts in their police station limits.
Senior officer told media persons,Two among the offenders are 16 years while the others are aged between 18 to 20 years.
The police have seized the bikes and detained the juveniles and summoned the vehicle owners and parents for questioning.
Cases will be booked against the bike owners and parents of the minor offenders while the driving license of the other offenders have been seized and send to transport department for suapension.The drive continue to keep a check on bikers posing threats to motorists,BR Ravikanthe Gowda,Joint commissioner of police, traffic,said.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Joint CP Traffic,Dr.BR Ravikanthe Gowda,DCPs,as,Kuldeep Kumar R Jain,Shantharaju M,and his whole team as inspectors and wheelie squads who has successfully arrested and seized all the bikes a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
