The Anti-Narcotics wing of the CCB on Thursday busted a Inter-State drug racket and arrested two persons who are selling synthetic drugs worth Rs. 2 crore seized from them.
The two accused are from Jharkhand and are working as employees for the peddlers for a monthly salary to peddle drugs which were bought from dark net.
Senior officer told reporters,a credible information was received by ACP,KC Gautham about the drug peddling in Whitefield area.
Based on a tip off a team led by ACP,Goutham KC,raided the house and seized the drugs including 150 MDMA and Ecstasy tablets,400 grams of charas,180 LSD strips,3.5 kgs of hashish oil,50 grams of hydro ganja and 30 kilograms of marijuana from them.
The peddlers had rented out a house in whitefield to store the drugs which they sourced from the dark web and the two accused are instructed to sell it to their regular customers.The payment for the drug purchased on the dark net is through bitcoins, the police said.
The police seized two mobile phones from the accused and analyzed the CDR to track down the peddlers and further investigation is on.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Joint CP Crime,Sandeep Patil,DCP Crime-2,BS Angadi,ACP,KC Gautham,PI,BS Ashok and his whole team who has successfully nabbed the duo Inter-State Drug peddlers and seized huge quantity of Synthetic Drugs from them and a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
