Two electric two-wheelers,as part of ‘e-sanjeevini’,a free mobile medical services initiative,were donated to the urban primary health centre (PHC) in Sanjaynagar,BBMP limits, by Rotary Bangalore Rajmahal Vilas, today.
MLA Byrathi Suresh,BBMP Chief Commissioner, Gaurav Gupta,Special Commissioners D. Randeep,Manoj Jain,Rotary International District Governor 3190 Rtn Fazal Mahmood and President Rotary Bangalore Rajmahal Vilas Rtn Shankar Subramanian were present on the occasion.
MLA,Byrathi Suresh,speaking on the occasion said that Rotary Club has been doing philanthropic work in the society and has joined hands with BBMP during the Covid situation too. Several measures are being taken to contain the spread of the Covid virus,he said.
BBMP Chief Commissioner,Gaurav Gupta said that Rotary Club has provided 2 electric two-wheelers (e-Sanjeevani) free of cost to enable people to immediately get mobile medical services in Sanjay Nagar Primary Health Center limits.
He thanked the Rotary Club for the donation of vehicles on the occasion. He said that the two-wheelers will be beneficial in proving medical services in local areas as it enables to make a quick door-to-door visit.
The vehicles will be used by the staff at PHC, ANMs,paramedical staff and Asha workers for immunisation,special health camps,nutrition programme,Anganwadi inspection,Vaccination, visiting slum areas,to conduct surveys and other activities,he informed.
The free EVs will be first used in Sanjaynagar on an experimental basis and if successful,the mobile medical services will be extended in other wards in a phased manner,Gaurav Gupta added.
