City Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant ordered CCB to probe the cheating of a reputed investment company to its investors.
Based on a complaint filed by one of the investors,a case has been registered in Sheshadripuram police station and later transferred to CCB for a detailed probe .
The company (Karvy stock broking company limited) having its head office in Hyderabad with branches across the country received investments from thousands of its clients to trade on shares and investments.
Initial inquiries revealed that the company has pawned the shares of its clients in a bank to avail huge sums of loan which it invested in other companies .
This is clear violations of SEBI guidelines which attract legal action.
Since the case has interstate ramification,the CCB will conduct a probe in detail for further action said a senior officer.
