Three persons including a 68-year-old patient and a doctor were killed and four others injured when an ambulance collided with a moving truck in a bid to overtake near Neraluru gate in Anekal in the early hours of Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as,Anwar khan (patient),68 years native Nallikuppam Cadalur district.Tamil Nadu,Dr.jadav Bhushan ashok resident of IGATPURI,Nasik district of Maharashtra and Tukaram namdev jamnade (driver) 38, from Kalyan district.Mumbai Maharashtra.
The injured Dr.Jithendra Biradar 30 years native of narayapura,Bidar Present staying navi Mumbai,Owner of Vishwa arpana AYURVEDIC clinic Mumbai, Ashkhan shamir memon (driver cum helper )27,from Kalyan district of Mumbai,Yusuf khan ( attender) 58,Navi Mumbai and Ahmad Raza ali Iqbal Shaikh ( driver) 35 , from Kalyan dist Maharashtra have been admitted to Sparsh and Sri Sai hospital .
Inquiries r
evealed that the Ambulance was heading to Tamil Nadu from Maharastra and the driver in a bid to overtake lost control and collided with the truck from behind.
Due to the impact the front portion of the ambulance was completely damaged .
Passers-by rushed to the help and shifted them to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared the trio as dead .
The Attibele police have registered a case against the Ambulance driver for further investigations.
The patient suffered from Paralysis and was treated at Mumbai hospital and was heading to native for further treatment .
The truck driver abandoned the vehicle and escaped,fearing public.Traffic on the busy road was disrupted for over an hour until the police cleared the truck and the ambulance from the spot .
