A 21-year-old worker ended his life by jumping from the 14th floor of a building inside Manyata Tech Park on Saturday afternoon.He was dejected over his proposal denied by her female friend, the police said.
The deceased has been identified as Hrithik Shankar, hailed from Bihar.
A senior police officer said that the incident took place around 11.30am and Hrithik had come for work and was doing interior wood work along with seven other workers on the third floor.
Meanwhile he went to the 14th floor and jumped from the window after breaking open the glass.He fell down on a sandhill dumped on the ground floor and had severe head injuries.
He was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead and Sampigehalli police were alerted.
The police recovered his mobile phone to ascertain the exact reason which led him to take this extreme step, the police officer added.
No suicide note was found at the spot and a case of unnatural death has been registered and further investigations are on.
