On Friday, Congress leaders held a rally against the BJP government, which had been hit by rising prices but was unresponsive.
KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly and Siddaramaiah. The Congress,which was formerly headed by Patil,held the Yadav Gadhi and Cycle Jatha,which today held the Tonga Jatha from the KPCC office to the Vidhan Sabha.
Leaders of the BJP government have announced against the anti-people policies of the people.
The Congress sent out a message that the Congress would continue its fight despite the government’s disrespect.
KPCC President,DK.Shivakumar,Congress legislative leader Siddaramaiah,Vidhan Parishad opposition leader,SR Patil,Presidents Ramalinga Reddy,Ishwar Khandre,Salim Ahmad, former ministers,KJ George, Krishna Byregowda, Priyank Kharghe and other leaders marched from the Congress office at 10 am in Tonga.
Responding to the media,Shivakumar said BJP governments are picking people up by increasing prices.This is a thick-skinned government.
They do not understand the pain and feeling of the people.This government has nothing but eyes, ears and heart, thus we struggle.This is not just a Congress party fight.
It is a people’s struggle,an echo of the pain of all classes of people.We will continue to do this. During the month of October,our activists in every arbitration and ward are set to become the voice of the people in terms of price increases.
This government that has no dignity should be removed.We have seen millions dead from Covid in the state.This government has not helped anyone.
Even announcing a Rs 20 lakh Crore package has not helped one.Drivers,Savita society, who rely on traditional profession, have not helped anyone, including farmers.
People have lost their jobs.They have to get a job. The government is squeezing taxpayers and fighting for their protection.We warned the government that we would not stop this struggle until people were embroiled in it.
The Congress party has been constantly waging war against the rising cost of fuel and consumer goods.
The’100 not out’protests were held for 5 days in front of 5000 petrol bunkers across the state. The Congress leaders,who were on a cyclical jetha or udinagadi trip,were protesting through Tonga Jatha today,10 days after the monsoon session began.
