The KR Puram police busted drug racket and arrested a owner of a hardware shop along with two of his children for selling opium to their clients.
Senior officer told reporters,Based on a tip off, a team of police raided a shop on Kittaganur main road and seized 1.9 kgs of opium worth Rs 36 lakh from them.
The police also recovered four Mobile phones which the accused would used to communicate with their clients and their network.
Initial investigation revealed that the prime accused Boraram used to source the drugs from his native Rajasthan and sell it to his clients.
The consignment he would source it from private buses which would stop in front of his shop and deliver.
The police are now trying to find out more about his network and the how the route.
The accused confessed that he was selling drugs since last one year,but police suspect that he is a old player having well established network.
Boraram and his two sons Jitendra and Sunil and others have been booked under NDPS and taken into custody for further investigation.
