A 65 year old coffee shop owner was killed after he lost control over the scooter he was riding and collided with a tree which uprooted due to heavy rain and fell on the road near south end circle on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as,BS Nagaraj, resident of tata silk farm was on his way to open the coffee shop situated in Jayanagar.
Nagaraj slipped and sustained severe injuries and rushed to near by hospital where he succumbed.
Motorists went their ire on the civic authorities and police failed to ensure safety of road users and nor clearing the debris caused due to rains said a angry protester.
